What is EASA Part 66 Module 1?
Module 1 is the Mathematics module of the EASA Part 66 aircraft maintenance licence. It covers arithmetic, algebra and geometry, and is required for both category B1 and B2 candidates as the numerical foundation for the rest of the modules.
What topics are in Part 66 Module 1?
Module 1 is split into three sub-modules: 1.1 Arithmetic (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, powers, areas and volumes), 1.2 Algebra (expressions, equations, indices, number systems and logarithms) and 1.3 Geometry (shapes, graphs, coordinate geometry and trigonometry).
What is the Module 1 exam format?
The Module 1 exam is multiple-choice. Each question has three options with one correct answer, and the standard pass mark for Part 66 examinations is 75%. Exact question counts and timings can vary by examination authority and category, so always check the current official syllabus for your exam.
